Priscilla loved calling them her events online.
“Hosting another beautiful family gathering,” she would write beneath a picture of herself holding a glass of wine in my living room.
That afternoon, she had come into my house without knocking.
“Christmas is here this year,” she said.
She did not ask.
She started naming everything she had ordered. Catering. Linens. Flowers. Extra chairs. Premium wine.
